The First Battle of the Cold War
During the Korean War, America and Russia were the two big world powers, and one had to come out and be the top in both countries minds. The conflict had never gotten into warfare, however. The first military conflict of the "Cold War" was the Korean War. The Korean War was sparked when North Korea invaded South Korea. Since North Korea was communist, they wanted to unite the two sides and run the country under a communist government as one.
